USAEE especially welcomes students to its conferences. Participating in a USAEE Conference is an important way to become engaged in a career in energy economics. There are special student events during the conference and students pay a reduced registration fee. In addition, limited Registration Fee Scholarships are available. If granted, a Registration Fee Scholarship would cover the Student Registration Fee (it would not cover any travel or lodging expenses).
The scholarships are funded in part by USAEE members and sponsors who have contributed to the USAEE Student Support Fund.
To student applicants: To apply for a Registration Fee Scholarship you must be a member of IAEE and a full-time student (where a full-time student is defined as being registered full-time according to the definition of their respective academic institution and not employed full-time) at the time of submission. Have your advisor send a letter on your behalf indicating that you are a full-time student (or recent graduate and not employed full-time). The letter should also provide a brief description of your academic work and the benefit you would derive from receiving the Scholarship and attending the conference. Your advisor should send the letter to Dave Williams, USAEE Executive Director, by August 21, 2012. Applications are evaluated in the order received and funds may run out, so apply early.
