Bio: Gisu Kim is a Ph.D. student at Texas A&M University in the Department of Marine and Coastal Management Science. Prior to attending Texas A&M, Gisu was a Ph.D. student in the Department of Natural Resource Economics at West Virginia University where he also worked as a graduate research assistant. Gisu was an appointed researcher at the Korean Maritime Institute and received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Economics from Kyungpook National University. His research agenda is focused on environmental and natural resource economics, including energy infrastructure, non-market valuation, and transportation. His work has been featured in the Journal of Coastal Research, the Journal of Korea Trade, the Journal of International Trade and Logistics, the Maritime Business Review and several other peer-reviewed outlets.
