USAEE's annual North American conference provides the opportunity to hear the latest research in energy economics and dialogue that takes place between industry, government, and academia. The conference program annually features a top-tier lineup of keynote and plenary speakers and a hugely diverse menu of concurrent  sessions. Attendees also enjoy receptions, offsite events, and the annual awards luncheon. In addition, the conference offers unparalleled networking opportunities both for students and for professionals in any stage of their career.

Concurrent sessions typically feature well over 100 research papers from academia and industry.  These sessions allow students, academic faculty and staff, energy economists, and practitioners who are working in business, government, and research communities to present current analysis, research, or case studies on topics that are related to energy economics and markets. 

USAEE’s traditional robust student offerings include the Best Student Paper and Best Student Poster Competitions, the Virtual Case Competition, and the  Young Professional Best Paper Competition, as well as Ph.D. Day and the Student Mentoring Breakfast.

This year's conference will be in the downtown Pittsburgh, where modern skyscrapers tower alongside historic landmarks and lively streets, world-class food, captivating public parks, its famed bridges, and much more are all on offer. The DoubleTree Pittsburgh Downtown is located in the heart of the city center near an array of downtown attractions.
