Energy Policy at a Crossroads – Navigating Risks, Flashpoints, and Opportunities
Energy policy in the U.S. is being pulled in multiple directions–by competing federal and state agendas, regulatory uncertainty, climate ambitions, and the practical demands of economic growth and energy security. This panel will explore the most pressing energy policy questions shaping today’s investment climate, operational realities, and long-term planning–at both the national and state levels. Moderated by Kunal Patel of the Dallas Federal Reserve Bank, the discussion will examine where policy may ignite conflict or convergence across key areas: permitting reform, infrastructure siting, emissions regulation, state versus federal jurisdiction, and the energy transition’s pace and priorities. Expect lively, informed insights from seasoned policy analysts and state-level leadership—who bring both deep expertise and on-the-ground perspective to the debate. Whether you're in industry, finance, government, or academia, this session will help you cut through the noise and understand the energy policy flashpoints that matter most.
