Eagle Crest Golf Club

Eastern Michigan University’s Eagle Crest Golf Club is an eighteen-hole championship golf course designed by Karl Litten of Boca Raton, Florida, and built by Caverly Construction Company of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The golf course is an integral component of a unique and major project that also includes the Ypsilanti Marriott Hotel and the Eagle Crest Conference Center. The par 72 Eagle Crest Golf Club, with several holes bordering the shores of Ford Lake, affords the golfing enthusiast one of the most challenging and scenic courses in Southeast Michigan. Three sets of tees allow the novice as well as the expert the opportunity to “test” their skills on this challenging, yet fair course. The multi-dimensional operation offers all of the amenities of a first-class golf resort – PGA professional staff, a full service golf shop, a two-tiered practice facility, the Eagle Crest Grille, men’s and women’s locker facilities, and a large separate banquet area available for group meetings, banquets, and civic functions. Individual and group lessons are available from the PGA professional staff.

From the championship tees, the golf course has a USGA slope rating of 140, and a USGA course rating of 72.9. The Eagle Crest Golf Club is also home to both the men and women’s golf teams from Eastern Michigan University. The entire development is situated on a 138-acre parcel of land off South Huron St. at Interstate 94 in Ypsilanti Township.

The construction of the golf course, conference center, and Marriott Hotel was made possible through the culmination of effort and commitment from Eastern Michigan University’s administration to further support economic development in Ypsilanti Township. It also demonstrates the University’s goal to expand and enlarge its traditional role as a public service institution of higher learning by providing these additional dimensions.

Eagle Crest Golf Club has the distinct honor of being awarded “4 Stars” from Golf Digest Magazine for 2004 and 2005! You can expect quality course conditions and service to exceed your expectations. We welcome you with open arms – let us handle all of the arrangements for your successful golf outing.
