Join "The European Green Deal and Challenges on the Ground," the fourth in a series of IAEE webinars on energy transition on Wednesday, May 14, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. ET. The European Green Deal, unveiled on December 11, 2019, outlines a series of policy initiatives aimed at making the European Union (EU) climate neutral by 2050. To support this goal, the European Commission has introduced proposals to align the EU's climate, energy, transport, and taxation policies with the target of reducing net greenhouse gas emissions by at least 55% by 2030, compared to 1990 levels. Prof. Hans Auer will explore the European Green Deal and address some of the most pressing economic, energy, and environmental challenges facing European nations in 2025.
