Hill Vaden is Executive Director of Energy Capital Insights with S&P Global Commodity Insights. He is responsible for leading capital markets research and driving engagement with the global financial sector’s energy-focused investment banking and investment management communities.
Hill has been working in the energy sector for nearly 20 years in roles that include research and consulting, product management, and commercial strategy. His subject matter expertise spans global energy and financial markets, which he discusses on S&P Global’s weekly “EnergyCents” podcast.
He joined S&P Global through its 2022 merger with IHS Markit, where he managed a business unit that provided energy markets analysis to the global investment community. Hill joined IHS Markit in 2012 after five years leading North America oil and gas research and asset-valuation services for Wood Mackenzie.
In addition, Hill is on the board of directors with Houston’s Nehemiah Center and a member of the Associate Vestry with The Church of St. John the Divine.
Hill holds an MBA from Rice University and B.A. from the University of the South – Sewanee.
